St Brendans Park and Castleisland played out an entertaining draw on Friday night in Mounthawk Park with both sides missing a number of players from their sides . The Park took an two goal lead mid way through the second half thanks to two David Courtney goals before Sean Brosnan pulled one back from the penalty spot . Castleisland got level in the 91st minute when a long free kick came off the head of Con Barrett and looped over his keeper . To make the night worse for the home side they would have three sent off before the night finished .
Killarney Athletic move up to third place with a win in Ballyduff against Rattoo Rovers on Sunday . Gavin o Shea gave Killarney Athletic an early lead but was cancelled quickly by Rattoo Rovers . Further goals from Mike Milner and a second from o Shea had the Killarney sides three one up before Rattoo scored again to create a tight finish but a goal from Jamie Doolan secured all three points for Athletic .
For the second time this season Listowel Celtic and Tralee Dynamos could not be separated . Chris Kerins gave Tralee Dynamos the lead which they held to half time . Ten minutes into the second half and the game was all level thanks to a goal from Kevin Bambury .Paudie Quinn put Listowel Celtic in front with a goal from 25 yards midway through the second half but in the 94th minute Tralee Dynamos were awarded a penalty which Derek o Brien slotted home to share the spoils .
Killarney Celtic extend their lead at the top of the division with an away win in Killorglin on Sunday morning . Joe Hurley , Peter McCarthy and William Courtney were the scorers for Killarney Celtic . After the game the news that striker Peter McCarthy was to hang up his boots and retire . I’m sure everyone in the county will recognise what an outstanding player Peter was both on and off the field for his club ,county and Country and wish him the best is his retirement from the game .
