FAI Junior Cup
Killarney Celtic made their exit from the FAI Junior Cup on Sunday against Broadford United from the Desmond League . Peter McCarthy came closest to opening the scoring but saw the goal frame hits the upright . Killarney Celtic went ahead early in the second half when Peter McCarthy’s cross was finished by Cathal O’Shea . Broadford levelled the game within minutes of falling behind . With fifteen minutes remaining Broadford took the lead . For the remainder of the game Celtic threw everything at Broadford but found their keeper in excellent form as he denied Peter McCarthy and Cathal o Shea late on .

Keanes Jewellers Champions Trophy Semi-Final
Castleisland Afc will feel very proud of their efforts on Sunday and on other day they might have taken more of their chances and advanced to the Munster final , However it was the Cork side who advance by the narrowest of margins . Park United took the lead as early as the third minute but Castleisland regroup and regained their composure very quickly . Sean Brosnan was unlucky in the first half when he saw two free kicks hitting the crossbar . On the hour mark the sides were level when Pierce Brosnan and Timmy Walsh combined to set up Sean Brosnan who made no mistake . Castleisland then had a great opportunity when they were awarded a penalty with twenty minutes remaining . Unfortunately for Castleisland Sean Brosnan saw is spot kicked saved and he then put the rebound over the bar . As the game looked like it was heading to extra time Park united stuck for the winner with only eight minutes remaining . Castleisland can keep their heads held high after a great run in this competition and maybe with a bit f luck to could have gone that extra step .

Tralee Dynamos move into second place and continue their unbeaten league run after picking up all three points at home against Killarney Athletic . John Farragher, Gintaras Paketuras and Joe Weir were the goal scorers for Tralee Dynamos .

Classic Fc and Killarney Celtic B had to share the points in Mounthawk Park on Sunday morning . Brendan Smith levelled matters in the second half after Killarney Celtic had taken the lead in the first half .
Fenit Samphires go top of the table after another big win at home against Spa Road fc . Ger McCarthy and Daniel Clinton continue their good goal scoring form with two each with one from Kieran O Mahony .

Tralee Athletic move up to third place after a win over Tralee rivals Shanakill Athletic . Graham o Leary gave Shanakill the lead but this was cancelled out by a goal from Jack o Donoghue . John McGillycuddy then gave Tralee Athletic the lead but it was level again with a goal from James o Sullivan . John McGillycuddy grabbed his second before the half time break to leave Tralee Athletic 3-2 up at half time . The second half was all about John McGillycuddy who scored two more to round of a man of the atch display and secure the three points for Tralee Athletic .

Ballymac Galaxy will feel disappointed at taking nothing from their game against Mastergeeha B team as they were two nil up after twenty minutes thanks to goals from Ricky Fleming and Niall O Shea . Mastergeeha’s Man of the match was Corey Mitchell who scored a hat trick in a terrific comeback .
Mitchels Avenue move up to third place after a win against Sneem Santos on Sunday morning . Sean o Reilly scored a brace to continue his good run of scoring and was help with a goal each from Chris o Sullivan and Craig Locke .

Ballyheigue Athletic took the honours in the local derby against Bayview Rovers . Frankie Flaherty picked up the man of the match award with a hat trick with Kieran o Connor and Diarmuid Walsh getting one each for Ballyheigue Athletic .
Inter Kenmare B team and Strand Road Fc shared the spoils in Kenmare on Sunday afternoon . Sean Murphy gave the home side a first half lead but this was cancelled out by a last minute equaliser from Jamie Leen to give Strand Road their first away points of the season .
AC Athletic move into third place with a win over Abhann Li on Sunday evening in Mounthawk Park . Darren Leahy scored a hat trick with Johnny Regan and David Egan getting one each for AC Athletic .
Shannon Wanderers and Mitchels Avenue B team played out a two two draw on Sunday morning with Joe Hickey and Luke Bradley scoring for Mitchel Avenue B .

FAI Umbro U-17 Challenge Cup
The result of the week has to be from Mastergeeha U17 team who travelled to Clare and defeated Avenue to book a place in the third round of the FAI U17 cup . Mastergeeha the lead when Gearoid Kerins scored from the penalty spot and Brian Friel finished well in the 35th minute. In the second half the Avenue pulled a goal back but Mastergeeha pushed on and Patrick Warren scored to ensure the victory .

Killarney Celtic made the perfect start to their league campaign against an understrength Killarney Athletic side on Saturday . Conor Randal scored twice with a goal each from Eoghan Kennedy, Lee O’Callaghan, and William Courtney.

The top two in the division played out an entertaining draw on Saturday in Dingle . The home side took the lead from a Gareth Hickey Brosnan goal but then found themselves behind when Fergal Ryan and Paddy Collins scored for St Brendans Park . Liam Brosnan earned Dingle Bay Rovers a point with a goal in the dying minutes .
Listowel Celtic made the perfect start to their league season with a big win away against Fenit Samphires on Saturday .
