Two deaths that are soccer related –

It was with great sadness that the soccer family were informed of the death of Listowel Celtic President Jackie Carmody on Saturday – Not alone was Jackie a founder member of Listowel Celtic but he was also involved in the MFA and was a lie long friend of the late Donie Forde. He was a great soccer man and he was very active behind the scenes with Listowel Celtic until illness set in. He was a real gentleman and he will be sadly missed by his wife and family and all at Listowel Celtic.

Jackie or the Sheriff as he was known will be buried after 10.30 mass in Listowel on Monday morning and it would be nice if any soccer people could attend.

Condolences to our Vice Chairman, Don O’Donoghue (Killarney Athletic) on the death of his sister Helena Spillane – waking at Mackie’s tomorrow Monday from 4-30 to 6-30 and Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 10-30.
