KDL Press Release , KDL Press Release: Kerry U17 manager Brendan Hogan steps down

Kerry U17 manager Brendan Hogan steps down

The Kerry District League would like to announce that Brendan Hogan, Manager of the Kerry Airtricity U-17 Team has stepped down by mutual consent from that position  and his replacement will be appointed as soon as is feasible. Brendan has decided to concentrate on his considerable commitments at Schoolboy level and the KDL wishes him well.

The League would like to thank Brendan for the tremendous work he put in when appointed, in getting a squad together, in holding training sessions and getting the team ready for a new and exciting adventure for Kerry soccer. The executive supported Brendan and his management committee in every way and Brendan has acknowledged that but he along with the League accepted that Kerry’s position in the League was not satisfactory.

Unfortunately despite the best efforts of everybody concerned results have not gone Kerry’s way and we remain pointless after nine games..

The executive of the KDL are confident that results can be turned around during the second half of the season. The KDL have every confidence in the current squad of players and their commitment to the cause as well as the pride they place in wearing the Kerry jersey.

The Airtricity U-17 League is the pathway that young emerging talent need and the League will not be found wanting in their support for the new manager, his management team and the players.
