Cabinteely took all three points away from Mounthawk Park on Sunday with a win against Kerry. Cabinteely were 2-0 up after a half an hour but Kerry were very unlucky not to pull a goal back before the break when Sheagh O’Connor’s effort was narrowly over then Thando Dube hit the crossbar before Kevin Williams should great skill but saw his effort cannoned back of the post. The game was over on a contest on the hour mark when Cabinteely scored their third. Next up is a trip to Cobh for Kerry next Sunday .

Defending Premier A Champions suffered a defeat in their first game of the new season on Friday night away to Castleisland Afc. After a scoreless opening 45 minutes Dingle Bay Rovers took the lead thanks to a Joe Sheehy free kick. Tommy Feehan then became the hero for Castleisland scoring twice with the second coming from a cracking volley .

Ballyheigue Athletic B got their season off to the perfect start with a win on Friday night away to Mitchels Avenue B . The only goal of the game came midway through the first half when a strike from Conor Galway from the edge of the 18 yard box found the back of the net. Mitchels Avenue nearly grabbed an equaliser in the dying minutes only for a goal line clearance by Noel Carroll which secured the three points for Ballyheigue Athletic B.
CS Abbeydorney and Ballybunion Fc picked up a point each from their opening game of the season at Mounthawk Park on Friday night. Stevie O’Sullivan put CS Abbeydorney ahead midway through the first half . CS Abbeydorney held onto this lead until the 70th minute when Jamie Culloty finished neatly into the bottom corner. Both sides had chances in the final twenty minutes to win the game but a draw was probably a fair result in the end.
