FAI Player Development Local Training Initiatives

Perhaps you may be aware of the FAI Player Development Local Training
Initiatives that are run at the following locations;
Cabra, Clondalkin, Irishtown, Carrigaline, Ringmahon, Blarney, Castlebar
and Limerick. For further details, visit Here .

The FAI ETB Player Development courses 2017-18 are now accepting
applications for places.
Players can apply or register their interest by visiting Here .

The courses represent an opportunity for young players who have ambitions
of playing professionally to train on a full time basis alongside gaining a
formal sports based education. For those who may not achieve professional
standards, the course will help them to reach their own potential while
furthering their education. If education is their focus, the course could
enable them gain enough points to progress to third level degree courses at
the Institutes of Technology countrywide.

There are currently over 100 players playing in the League of Ireland who
have come through these courses with many others such as Matt Doherty and
Chris Forrester having moved to clubs in the UK.
Three players (Daryl Horgan, Andy Boyle and Kevin Long) who appeared in
Martin O’Neills Senior squad against Austria also graduated from the
courses in recent years.

As managers and coaches in the U17, U19 National Leagues, you are working
with the players who could most benefit from an opportunity to train full
time.
Our FAI coaches are all UEFA Pro  or UEFA A licensed coaches with most of
them coming from professional football backgrounds and they would like to
cooperate with you to design the best possible opportunity for your players
to enable them to achieve their potential. Our Coordinators can assist in
the technical and tactical development of your players and have personal
strength & conditioning plans designed for each of your players to ensure
they are in the best condition possible when playing for your club. You can
see our coaching team by clicking Here .

If you would please pass on the course details to your players. Just ask them to visit Here .

As course trainees, they may also receive a training allowance of up to 160
euros per week on this full time football course which starts in late
September 2017 and runs through to the following Summer 2018.
To apply, they just need to visit Here and complete
the online application form.
Our course coordinators will then make contact with them and guide them
through the registration process.

If you would like to speak with any of our Coordinators or Coaches, you can
find their telephone and email contact details here.
They are happy to answer any queries you may have on the courses.
