Listowel Celtic host Crettyard United from Carlow on Sunday in the last 32 of the FAI Junior Cup . Listowel Celtic Are Kerry’s only side left in the competition and everyone in the league will be hoping their journey continues and they make it into the last 16 . The full FAI JUNIOR CUP draw can be found HERE .

Listowel Celtic are fourth position in the Premier A division with four wins from their opening seven games and just the one defeat this season scoring 20 and conceding just 9 goals . In This seasons FAI Junior Cup they received a bye in the first round before they defeated Fenit Samphires 3-2 after extra time in the second round . The third round again saw Listowel Celtic needing extra time to get passed Shannon Olympic by two goals to one . In the fourth round they had a huge away win in Tralee against St Brendans Park when they won on an 8-3 score line . The last round saw Listowel Celtic host Knockainey Fc from the Limerick District League where Listowel came out on top in extra time on a 3-2 score line . Listowel Celtic will be confident in making it to the last 32 under the guidance of Manager Aidan o Connor and if their players perform like they can then they will have a great chance of making it into the last 16 of the competition .

Crettyard United are managed by Tralee man Damian Locke who will know plenty about Listowel Celtic from his time as a player with Tralee Dynamos . Damien had this to say earlier in the week about how Crettyard United season has gone so far and how preparations have gone for Sunday , ” This is my second season as manager of Crettyard united who are the current Carlow District League premier division champions. It has been a very competitive season so far as we are obviously still competing in the Fai junior cup with Sundays tie being our 6th away fixture in the competition! We are also still awaiting a tie against Crumlin united in the last 16 of the Leinster senior cup with the winners to play St.Patricks Athletic where we beat 2 time Fai Junior Cup Finalists Killbarrick United on the way to last 16. We have only been beaten once in our 18 games so far this season and that was away to Sheriff YC. With all the outside competitions we have only played 7 league games to date. Preparations for Sunday have gone as well as I could have hoped for, it should be a very entertaining game especially with the extra spice of Adam o Rourke to face his home town and former schoolboy club Listowel Celtic as well as my own involvement as manager against some former Tralee Dynamos teammates .
