Na Fianna 1-5 Tralee Dynamos

Tralee Dynamos made up for the disappointment of losing the league final a few weeks ago to Listowel Celtic when the captured the Denny Ladies Reserve Cup after defeating Na Fianna from Listowel . The winner showed that their favourites tag going into the game was correct as they proved to be that be more experienced than their opponents on the night .

The game was only a few minutes old when Na Fianna’s keeper Marion Enright had to saved sharply with her feet to deny Natasha o Sullivan . Deirdre Ross then played in Stacey Murphy but Laura Fitzgerald saved bravely at her feet to keep the game scoreless . The deadlock was how ever broken on the twelve minute mark . Carron O Brien’s corner fell to Karina Slattery and her looping shot found the far post before finding the back of the net to give the Dynamos an early lead .

This lead was nearly doubled minutes later when Izzy Perez saw her effort saved by Marion Enright after another well taken corner by Carron o Brien . Enright was again called into action when Andrea Agajeva sent Natasha o Sullivan through with a perfectly through ball but the on rushing keeper saved well at the expense of a corner .Just before the half hour Dynamos doubled their lead , Andrea Agajeva sent Izzy Perez through on goal and she made no mistake with just the keeper to beat .

Na Fianna were being resorted to long range efforts as a strong Dynamos defence seemed to be well in control . Nicole o Connor and Stacey Murphy both were unlucky with their efforts . Dynamos made their lead even bigger on the half hour mark when Natasha o Sullivan saw her long range strike find the back of the net . Na Fianna almost grabbed a goal back just before the break after Deirdre Ross picked out a clever run by Stacey Murphy but she saw here effort find the side netting .

The last chance of the half was to fall to Nicole o Connor but her effort flew just wide of the post . A great moment of sportsmanship was showed before the break when Tralee Dynamos Manager Noelle o Brien went to assist and injured Na Fianna player which you would not see in most cup finals .
The game was over as a contest less than twenty seconds after the restart when Natasha o Sullivan found herself through on goal with just the keeper to beat and made no mistake for her second goal . Laura Fitzgerald had to react quickly to save another well struck effort from Nicole o Connor . Na Fianna now were having their best spell of the match and Louise Moroney saw her shot from a Emma o Neil corner blaze across the face of the goal .

Na Fianna’s Nicole O Connor who never gave up again saw Dynamos keeper Fitzgerald save another well struck shot just after the hour mark . Dynamos made it five nil with less than twenty minutes remaining . Izzy Perez was this time the creature when she set up Cilla Beer whose first time shot gave the keeper no chance .

Danielle o Connor who had an excellent game sent a long ball down the left wing where Nicole o Connor again tested keeper Laura Fitzgerald who saved and held a terrific shot from the edge of the box . In the 85th minute Natasha o Sullivan nearly grabbed her jat trick but her first time shit from a Izzy Perez cross roll the wrong side of the post . The final action of the game saw Na Fianna awarded a penalty which Nicole o Connor put away to give her a goal that her display fully deserved .
