Janesboro Fc



Killarney Athletics adventure in the 2017 Munster League Champions Trophy ended on Sunday at the semi final stage against Limerick League champions Janesboro Fc . Athletic got off to the perfect start and took the lead in the 15 minute with a goal from William Courtney. Janesboro levelled the game on the half hour mark to leave the game level at half time. Midway through the second half Janesboo took the lead but it didnt last long as William Courtney got his second two minutes later. Neither side could find another goal in normal time. Janesboros winner came with just five minutes remaining in the second period of extra time leaving Athletic very little time to respond .


FAI Junior Cup 3rd Round

Killarney Celtic  4-0  Moher Celtic

Killarney Celtic moved on to the fourth round of the FAI Junior Cup on Sunday when they easily saw off the challange of Clare side Moher Celtic. Peter McCarthy opened the scoring for Killarney Celtic . Futher goals from Gary Keane and two from Danny Roche sets up their fourth round tie away to Newmarket Celtic B team next Sunday.

Fenit Samphires





Fenit Samphires made their exit from the FAI Junior Cup on penalties away against Glin Rovers from the Desmond League on Sunday. Fenit’s goals in regular time came from Ryan Downey, Ferdia O’Brien and Sean Foley .

Carrig Celtic  1-0  Castleisland Afc

Castleisland also made their exit from the competition on Sunday away against Carrig Celtic where a number of home town referee decisions seemed to go against the Kerry side.

Tralee Dynamos  0-9  Dingle Bay Rovers

Dingle Bay Rovers moved to the top of Denny Premier A with a huge win against Tralee Dynamos. Paudie Quinn and Sean Fitzgerald scored four goals each with one coming from Shane Houlihan for Dingle Bay Rovers .

Killorglin Fc  3-2  Camp United

Killlorglin Afc are up to joint second place in Denny Premier B with a home win over Camp United. Lee Carey, Pa Joy and Sean Costello all scored for Killorglin Fc with Fintan Herlihy and James Scanlon getting the goals for Camp United.

Tralee Celtic  3-0  Classic Fc

Tralee Celtic remain unbeaten and extend their lead at the top of the division with a win over Classic Fc thanks to goals from Greg Powell, Chris Kerins and Sean Malony .

CSKA Tralee  3-4  AC Athletic

AC Athletic are up to joint third place with a win against CSKA Tralee on Sunday evening.Craig Locke, Mike Griffin and Kieran O’Donovan were the goal scorers for CSKA Tralee . Joseph Diggins scored twice for AC Athletic , Stephen Goggin scored from a rebounded penalty after his penalty was save while once again John Mike Dooley scored the winner for AC Athletic.

Mitchels Avenue  0-0  Killarney Celtic B

Mitchels Avenue and Killarney Celtic B finished scoreless at Mounthawk Park on Sunday which leaves these two sides in 7th and 9th places respectively .


Denny Divison 1A

CG Killarney 0-1  QPR


QPR moved into second place in Denny Division 1A on Monday night with a win over the league leaders CG Killarney at Mounthawk Park thanks to a single goal from Mark Reen.

Inter Kenmare B  7-1  Skeliga Fc

Inter Kenmare B got their first win of the season at home against Skeliga FC on Sunday afternoon. Darragh O’Siochru bagged a brace with Shane O’Sullivan getting a hat trick while Daniel Taylor and Boki Nikic got a goal each for Inter Kenmare. Skleiga Fc only goal of the game came from Anthony Cournane.

Strand Road  1-2  QPR

QPR moved to the top of the division on Sunday with a win against Strand Road Fc at Mounthawk Park where Shane McElligott scored for Strand Road FC.


Denny Division 1B

Castlegregory Celtic  2-1  St Brendans Park

Castlegregory Celtic extend their lead at the top of Denny Division 1B on Sunday with a win at home against second placed St Brendans Park Fc. The Park took the lead within the opening ten minutes before Brandon Hoare levelled the game before half time. The winning goal was one worthy of winning any game when Conor Shannon unleashed an unstoppable shot from 25 yards out which flew into the top corner.

Windmill United  0-1  Listowel Celtic B

Listowel Celtic B moved up to joint third in the division thanks to a single goal from Stephen McCarthy against Windmill United at Mounthawk Park on Sunday.

Clanmaurice Fc  3-1  Mitchels Avenue B

Clanmaurice Fc moved into joint third place with a win against Mitchels Avenue B team on Sunday afternoon. Keith Carmody scored twice for Clanmaurice with Mike Lynch getting one. Dylan O’Shea was the scorer for Mitchels Avenue B.

Killorglin B  1-1  Tralee Bay Fc

Killorglin B and Tralee Bay Fc both remain in joint second place after they couldnt be seperated on Sunday in Killorglin. Shane Carroll opened the scoring for Tralee Bay midway through the first half with a wonderful free kick. Jack O’Sullivan levelled the game and earned a point for Killorglin with a goal early in the second half.

Mainebank Fc  1-2  CS Clochain Breannainn

CS Clochain Breannainn in second place in Denny Division 2B closed the gap on the leaders with a win against Mainebank Fc on Sunday. Mikey Lyne gave CS Clochain Breannainn the lead before James Long scored from the penalty spot for Mainebank Fc. Mikey Lyne got his second and the games winner in the dying minutes with a looping header .

Sneem Santos  3-2  Spa Road Fc

Sneem Santos moved up to third place while inflicting league leaders Spa Road with their first defeat of the season. Eric Burns, Dara O’Connor and Jimmy O’Brien all scored for Sneem Santos with Hayden Fitzgerald and Michael O’Brien scoring for Spa Road Fc.


FAI U17 Cup 2nd Round

Tralee Dynamos




Askeaton Fc



Tralee Dynamos are the third Kerry side to make it into the last 32 of the FAI U17 Cup with a win against Desmond league side Askeaton Fc. Tralee Dynamos opened the scoring early in the first half through Tony Duggan. Tralee Dynamos maintain their lead until half time thanks to their keeper Darragh Reen who made a number of fine saves with the best being from a penalty for Askeaton. Dynamos could have killed the game off in the second half but they also missed their penalty effort. With five minutes remaining Askeaton scored to send the game to extra time. The winnig goal for Tralee Dynamos came late in the second half of extra time thanks to Captain David Rogers who made no mistake from 10 yards out.


FAI Youth Cup 2nd Round

Newmarket Celtic  5-4  Castleisland Afc

Castleisland Afc are out of the FAI Youth cup after a 9 goal thriller at Newmarket on Fergus on Saturday. Ben Cooney scored two for Castleisland and one from Danny Hickey who were ahead 3-1 at half time but a strong second half performance from the Clare side saw them through to the third round.

Ennis Town Fc  1-2  Listowel Celtic

Listowel Celtic are into the third round of the FAI Youth Cup with a great win away in Clare against Ennis Town Fc. Darragh Mackessy and Jake Kelly were the Listowel Celtic goal scorers.

Mastergeeha Fc  2-2  Ballyhar Dynamos

Mastergeeha and Ballyhar Dynamos picked up a point each from their clash at Kilbrean Park on Saturday. Dylan Murphy scored twice for Mastergeeha Fc with Conor Henderson and Harry Doody scoring for Ballyhar Dynamos.

Fenit Samphires  4-3  Ballyheigue Athletic

Fenit Samphires got their U17 season off to a winning start on Saturday at Samphire Park against Ballyheigue Athletic where Nathan O’Driscoll, Sean Sheehan and Rory Duggan scored for Ballyheigue Athletic .

Killorglin Fc moved to the top of the Denny Youth League North Section with a win away against Killarney Athletic thanks to goals from Eoin Clifford, Conor Burke and David Mangan .

A goal in either half for Mastergeeha was enough to see of the challenge of Listowel Celtic in the Dominos Pizza Over 35 League Play-Off. Mastergeeha will now face Classic Fc in the League Final.
