FAI Junior Cup 7th Round Last 16

Ballynanty Rovers (Limerick)  1-2  Killarney Celtic .
Killarney Celtic are into the last 8 of the FAI Junior cup after an oustading team performance in Limerick against the 2014 runners up Ballynanty Rovers. The result was even better when you conside they had to play with ten men for 70 minutes of the game after the match officials deemed that Gary Keane’s challange as the last man back was deliberate and denied a clear goal scoring opportunity . Killarney Celtic can also thank keeper Roy Kelliher who made three outstanding saves to keep the game scoreless before Stephen McCarthy put Celtic ahead with just twenty minutes remaining. Celtic’s lead was doubled with ten minutes remianng when Wayne Sparling continued his great run of scoring in this competiton and despite a late goal in injury time from Ballynanty Celtic were not to be denied a place in the last eight. The 1/4 final draw is to take place in the next week or so with the date supposed to be confirmed some time today . Well done to every one concerned with Killarney Celtic in was is a famous day for their club and Kerry Soccer .

Greyhound Bar KO Cup 2nd Round Replay

CSKA Tralee  2-2  CG Killarney , CSKA won 5-4 on penalties AET .
CSKA Tralee are into the 3rd round of the Greyhound Bar KO Cup after they defeated CG Killarney in a penalty shoot out of Saturday evening. The fisrt encounter finished four all and again on this occasion both sides played some very ebtertaining attacking football and against their could have been easily eight goals scored. Eoin Doody opend the scoring in the first few minutes of the game for CSKA Tralee before Joe Donovan levelled the game just before the hald time break. Sam Dobbins then put CG Killarney in front before Sean Purcell who normally plays in goals popped up to level matters for CSKA Tralee . Neither side could find another goal in ectra time and CSKA Held their never to go though in the penalty shootout .

Castleisland A  2-1  Tralee Dynamos .
Castleisalnd B  1-3  Fenit Samphires .
Castleisland A team are into the third round after they defeated Tralee Dynamos in the all Premier A clash on Sunday morning. John Foley gave Tralee Dynamos a first half lead from the penalty spot . Sean Brosnan levelled matters early in the second half when his corner found its way into the far corner of the net . Dean Poolman scored the winning goal for Castleisland when he intercepted a short back pass and lobbed the ball over the keeper from a tight angle .
Last seasons runners up Castleisland B are out of this season competition after they were defeated by Premier A side Fenit Samphires . Chris Murphy scored twice for Fenit Samphires with Kieran O’Mahoney getting one while Shane O’Loughlin was the scorer for Castleisland B .

Listowel Celtic  4-2  Inter Kenmare .
Dingle Bay Rovers picked up another three points on Friday night at Mounthawk Park against Rattoo Rovers . New signing Adam O’Rourke scored a hat trick with Sean Fitzgerald getting two and Joe Sheehy getting one. Liam Boyle scored the goal for Rattoo Rovers .
Listowel Celtic are up to third place thasnk to goals from Kevin Bambury , Paul O’Connor, Darren Loughnane and Ashley Kelliher against Inter Kenmare on Sunday. Josh C Holland ans Denis Cronin were the Inter Kenmare scorers.

Ballyhar Dynamos  2-2  Ballyheigue Athletic .
QPR  2-1  Asdee Rovers .
Atletico Ardfert picked up three points on Saturday evening with a win against League leaders Mitchels Avenue . Gary Hogan and Cian Hussey scored the important goals for Ardfert with Brendan Coffey scoring for Mitchels Avenue .
Ballyhar Dynamos and Ballyheigue Athletic picked up a point each on Sunday morning from their clash at Murt Scott Park. Niall McCarthy scored twice for the home side while Padraig Behan and Kevin Walsh scored for Ballyheigue Athletic .
QPR in seventh place picked up another win to pull themselves away from the bootom of the table against ninth placed Asdee Rovers on Sunday. Mark Reen and Ciaran O’Mahoney scored for QPR with Cillian Beasley scoring for Asdee Rovers .

Sporting Listowel  5-2  Inter Kenmare B .
Sporting Listowel in second place moved three points clear of Windmill United in third place after a 2-1 win on Monday night thansk to goals from Ed Stack and Bryan Murphy .
Sporting Listowel closed the gap on the leaders in the division with a win on Sunday against Inter Kenmare B team with two goals from Cormac Mulvihill and one each from Robbie O’Hanlon, Thomas McCarthy and David Dillon .

Annascaul Inch United promtion dreams are still alive after they defeated Tralee Bay on Sunday with goals from Eamonn Hickson , Jerry Foley and Paddy Daly in a game they reckon is their first league clean sheet in nearly three seasons .
Clanmaurice Fc extend their lead at the top of the division with a win over Ballyheigue Athletic B on Sunday where Jonathan Boulding , John Mike Carroll and Noel Carroll all scored for Ballyheigue Athletic .
Mitchels Avenue B teams great run of form and results continues after they defeated CS Clochain Breannainn on Sunday evening. Mark O’Sullivan and Chris Hegarty both scored two goals each for Mitchels Avenue with Nathan O’Leary getting one.

St Brendans Park  1-1  Killarney Celtic .
Park Fc and Killarney Celtic picked up a point each on Saturday at Mounthawk Park. Simon Kedzierski opened the scoring for the Park before a 90th minute equaliser from Cian Casey earned Killarney Celtic a draw.
