Our U17 Airtricity League season ended on Saturday and sadly with a narrow loss in the Shield Final. Sligo took the lead midway through the first half and doubled their lead within two minutes of the restart. Kerry pulled a goal back with twenty minutes remaining when a Cian Brosnan corner was turned into the Sligo goal by one of their defenders. From here on it was all Kerry and they were denied an equalizer with five minutes remaining by an unbelievable goal line clearance by Rep of Ireland Victory Shield Captain Darragh Reilly . This has been an unbelievable year for this side reaching two national finals and the future of Kerry soccer is in a great place
FAI Youth Inter League

The Kerry District League Youth side travelled to Mayfield Cork on Saturday to start their FAI Youth Inter League Season. The first 45 minutes were very promising from a kerry point of view keeping the home side scoreless. However ever two goals in the opening ten minutes gave the home side the advantage. Corks fitness and superiority was shown in the final fifteen minutes when they scored four unanswered goals. Kerry will now look to their next game in this competition where they will host Limerick District at Mounthawk Park on Saturday November 23rd .

Killarney Celtic started their league season of with a win on Friday night at Celtic Park against Classic Fc. Killarney Celtic dominated the early exchanges but it took a penalty just before half time from Stephen McCarthy to open the scoring. Second half goals from Stephen McCarthy, Steven O’Mahony and Ryan Kelliher secures all three points for the home side.

On Bank Holiday Monday MEK Galaxy B team moved to the top of the division with a win over Killorglin Afc C team at Fossa. Conor Collins was the man of the match and the weekends top scorer when he scored five goals with David McSweeney getting the sixth for MEK who have now made it three wins from their opening three league games. Dean Callan scored for Killorglin C in what was their first league defeat of the season.

Lenamore Rovers travelled to Mounthawk Park on Friday night and picked up their first league win of the season when they inflicted Lisard Wanderers with their first defeat of the season. Jake Kelly scored twice for Lenamore with Stephen McCarthy, Donal Leahy and Kenneth Foley getting a goal each. Declan Clifford and Blake Byrne were the goal scorers for Lisard Wanderers.

On Friday night in Mounthawk Park Windmill United B team moved back to the top of the Division with the made it two defeats in five days for Killorglin Afc C. Dean Callan was again the scorer for Killorglin Afc C team.

Dingle Bay Rovers sit top of the North section of the Denny Youth league after a large win against Atletico Ardfert on Bank Holiday Monday at Mounthawk Park. Colm O’Heartain scored four goals for the winning side with Naoise McGearailt, Oilsean Smailes, Cathal Moriarty and Dean McAuliffe all getting one goal each.

Ballyheigue Athletic made it back to back league wins on Bank Holiday Monday against Fenit Samphires at Mounthawk Park. Gavin Slattery scored a hat trick for Ballyheigue with Dara Kearney and Felim O’Sullivan both scoring two goals each while Jordan Goggin also got on the scoresheet.
