Kerry DL 1-1 Waterford Fc

Kerry picked up a point in their final league game of the season against Waterford Fc at Mounthawk Park. Nathan Gleeson put Kerry ahead after 62 mins but Waterford level the game late in the second half. Both sides will meet each other again next Sunday at Waterford IT in the 1st round of the Shield.

Kerry DL 2-6 Waterford Fc

In our Final league game Kerry were always going to find it tough on Sunday against Waterford Fc who finished second in the league. Kerry lost both halves 3-1 with Boki Nikic and Sheagh O’Connor scoring. Next weekend Kerry will host Cobh Ramblers in the first round of the Shield knock out phase at Mounthawk Park.

 

FAI Junior Cup 2nd Round

 

Killarney Celtic 11-0 Shannonside Fc

Killarney Celtic easily booked their place in the 3rd round of the FAI Junior Cup after they dispatched the challenge of Limerick Desmond League side Shannonside Fc on Saturday evening. Danny Roche and Ryan Kelliher both scored a hat trick with Lee Downing scoring twice while Adam O’Rourke, Stephen O’Mahony and Wayne Sparling also got on the score sheet.

Adare United 2-0 Tralee Dynamos

Tralee Dynamos made the journey to Adare on Sunday to face Desmond League side Adare United.  A goal in either half was enough for the home side to book their place in the next round with Tralee Dynamos finishing the game with ten men.

Broadford United 3-1 Listowel Celtic

Another Desmond League side got the better of another Kerry side on Sunday when Broadford defeated Listowel Celtic. Joe Joe Grimes was the only scorer for Listowel Celtic.

Lifford Fc 1-2 Killorglin Afc

Clare side Lifford Fc are into the third round at the expense of Killorglin Afc. Paul McKenna put Killorglin ahead from the penalty spot midway though the first half but the game was level again before half time. Lifford struck for the winning goal with twenty minutes remaining.

Dingle Bay Rovers 1-3 St Brendans Park

In the only all Kerry tie St Brendans Park are into the next round while only being the second away side to win in the second round from the Kerry/Clare/Desmond section. The Park goals came from Mervyn Shalemba, Liam Magee and Mikey Burke  .

Shannon Town 1-0 Classic Fc

Premier Clare side Shannon Town advance to the next round with the help of a first half penalty against Classic Fc at Lynch Park.

Avenue United 2-0 MEK Galaxy

Another Clare side Avenue United got the better of Kerry Side  MEK Galaxy on Sunday at Roslevan. Two first half goals sent Avenue on their way while MEK had good performances from Mike Murphy, Tadhg Fleming and Gary Cassidy.

Castleisland Afc 1-0 Newmarket Celtic

Castleisland Afc were the only Kerry side on Sunday to defeat a side from another county . A what a result this was beating the top side from Clare who in recent years have made it to the later stages of the FAI and Munster Junior competitions. The only goal of the game came from Colm Murphy on the hour mark.

Killarney Celtic B 3-1 Rattoo Rovers

After an opening day defeat Killarney Celtic bounce back on Thursday night to record their first win of the season against newly promoted Rattoo Rovers at Celtic Park. Matt Keane scored twice for the home side with veteran striker  Vladimir Sirotiak getting one. Liam Boyle was the Rattoo Rovers goal scorer .

Castleisland Afc B 0-1 AC Athletic

AC Athletic started their season with the perfect start away to Castleisland B on Saturday night. The only goal of the game came in the 77th minute when Jason Diggins got on the end of a Joseph Diggins cross. Castleisland will be disappointed with the loss at home in their opening league fixture while finishing the game with ten men.

Asdee Rovers 1-3 Ballyheigue Athletic

After starting the season last weekend with a win Asdee Rovers this week went done to Ballyheigue Athletic in their opening league fixture on Saturday night at  Mounthawk Park. Padraig O’Neill opened the scoring for Asdee Rovers but goals from Micheal Hudson, Diarmuid Walsh & Jack Smith secured the three points for Ballyheigue Athletic.

Listowel Celtic B 2-1 Castlegregory Celtic

After last weekends opening day defeat Listowel Celtic B bounced back inflicting Castlegregory Celtic with a opening day defeat. Listowel lead 1-0 at half time before Castlegregory levelled the game midway through the second half. With time running out Listowel struck the winner from a well taken free kick. Liam Edwards and Matt Bergin were the scorers for Listowel Celtic with Brandon Hoare getting the Castlegregory goal.

Killorglin Afc B 0-2 Classic Fc B

Classic Fc B got their season off to a perfect start on Friday night at the Dragons Den against Killorglin Afc B. Derry Ahern opened the scoring for Classic before a goal of the season contender from Padraig Breen.

Castlemaine United 4-0 Killarney Athletic B

Castlemaine United have made the perfect start to the season with back to back league wins while scoring ten goals in the two goals. Dylan O’Neill, Shane O’Sullivan, Wayne Coffey and Daniel O’Connor all scored a goal each for Castlemaine United who are now joint top of the division .

Ballymac Celtic 0-3 CS Clochain Breanainn

CS Clochain Breanainn are also joint top of the division after they made it back to back league wins. This was a repeat of last seasons Denny Division 2A League final where Ballymac came out on top but this time it was CS Clochain Breanainn who came out on top. Micheal O’Dowd scored twice for CSCB with Cian O’Grady getting one.

CS Abbeydorney 0-3 Kilmoyley Athletic

Kilmoyley Athletic bounced back from last weeks opening defeat with three points against CS Abbeydorney on Saturday night at Mounthawk Park. Jordan Brick bagged a brace for the winners with Daniel Collins getting one.

Tralee Dynamos B 1-3 Mainebank Fc

Mainebank Fc made it two league wins from two on Sunday at Cahermoneen to move to the top of the Division against Tralee Dynamos. Brendan Delaney scored twice with James Long getting on the scoresheet for the second week in a row for Mainebank Fc. John O’Brien was the Tralee Dynamos scorer who had put them ahead in the tenth minute.

Kilflynn Santos 2-3 Rattoo Rovers B

Kilflynn Santos made their return to Kerry soccer on Sunday but went down to Rattoo Rovers B at Mounthawk Park . Podge Boyle scored twice for Rattoo Rovers with Dylan Moriarty getting one. Barry Mahony and Gavin Parker were the goal scorers for Kilflynn Santos.

Lisard Wanderers 2-2 Windmill United B

Lisard Wanderers and Windmill United B both picked up their first points of the season on Friday night at Mounthawk Park. David Moriarty and Declan Cooney were the Lisard Wanderers goal scorers.

Lenamore Rovers 2-3 AC Athletic B

Lenamore Rovers and AC Athletic B both kicked off their season on Sunday in Ballylongford with the away side taking all three points. Fergus Carroll, Chris Meehan and Luke Fitzgerald were the scorers for AC Athletic B while Shane O’Sullivan and Donal Leahy scored for Lenamore Rovers.

 

Munster Youth Cup 1st Round

 

St Brendans Park 1-3 Killarney Celtic

Killarney Celtic are into the second round of the Munster Youth Cup after they defeated St Brendans Park at Christy Leahy Park on Saturday. Dylan O’Callaghan, Emmett O’Shea and Terry Sparling all got on the score sheet for Killarney Celtic with James Charles scoring for St Brendans Park. Killarney Celtic will host Fenit Samphires in the next round.

Rattoo Rovers 1-6 Ballyheigue Athletic

Ballyheigue Athletic picked up all three points at Ballyduff on Saturday when they overcame the challenge of Rattoo Rovers. Dara Kearney scored twice for Ballyheigue Athletic with Felim O Sullivan , Gavin Slattery and Jordan Goggin getting one each.

Mastergeeha Fc 0-9 Killorglin Afc

Killorglin Afc travelled to Kilbrean Park on Saturday and proved to strong for the home side. Dylan Moriarty scored a hat trick with Calum Moriarty, Keith Evans, Cathal Moriarty, Matt Reinsteirna, Jake Reinsteirna and Cillian Burke all getting one each.
