FAI Junior Cup 3rd Round

Fenit Samphires  4-1  Kilrush Rangers

Fenit Samphires advacned to the 4th round of the FAI Junior Cup with a win at Mounthawk Park on Sunday against Clare premier divison side Kilrush Rangers. James Duggan was the man of the match scoring a hat trick with Ferdia O’Brien getting his first goal of the season.

Castleisland Afc  2-0  Killarney Athletic

Castleisland Afc are into the next round after they defeated fellow Kerry Premier A side Killarney Athletic on Sunday morning. Tommy Feehan put Castleisland ahead after just two minutes and they doubled their lead ten minutes later when Jonathan Downey scored. Mid way through the second half Killarney Athletic were handed a life line when they were awarded a penalty but Shane Lynch saw his penalty brilliantly saved by Stephen Bartlett .

CG Killarney  2-4  Carrig Celtic

CG Killarneys journey in the FAI Journey Cup ended on Sunday against Desmond league premier divison side Carrig Celtic. John Foley and Joe Hurley scored for CG Killarney who also had good performances from James McCarrick, Gary Cassidy and Frank Cronin.

Glin Rovers  5-1  Castlegregory Celtic

Castlegregory Celtic are also out of this seasons competition after they went down to Desmond league premier side Glin Rovers on Sunday in Glin. Damien McMahon scored Castlegregory’s only goal in the second half.

Broadford United  3-0  Classic Fc

Classic Fc are also out of the FAI Junior cup after they went down to Desmond League Premier side Broadford United thanks to three second half goals in Broadford on Sunday.

 

Munster Junior Cup 1st Round

Mitchels Avenue  3-1  Listowel Celtic

Denny Premier B side Mitchels Avenue are into the 2nd Round of the Munster Junior Cup at the expense of Denny Premier A side Listowel Celtic. Brendan Coffey opened the scoring for Mitchels Avenue with Danny Shea and David Courtney also gettng on the scoresheet. Ashley Kelliher was the goal scorer for Listowel Celtic. Mitchels Avenue will face CG Killarney in the next round.

Tralee Celtic  2-1  Camp United

Tralee Celtic made it five wins from five on Friday night in Mounthawk Park against Camp United. Greg Horan continued his good form in front of goals with 2 more on the night while James Scanlon scored his second of the season for Camp United.

Sunday 22nd October 2017

Rattoo Rovers  1-7  AC Athletic

AC Athletic got their season off to a winning start with a big win away against Rattoo Rovers on Sunday afternoon. Joseph Diggins scored a hat trick for Ac Athletic with Stephen Goggin getting two while Jason Diggins and John Mike Dooley got one each.

Sporting Listowel  3-1  Inter Kenmare B

Sporting Listowel picked up their first win of the season on Sunday afternoon in Mounthawk Park against Inter Kenmare B with Brian Greaney scoring twice for Sporting Listowel and Shane Kelliher getting one.

St Brendans Park  0-2  Windmill United

Windmill United are up to third place and remain unbeaten after three games with a win over second placed St Brendans Park on Sunday morning. Paudie Bailey and Breandan Savage were the goal scorers for Windmill United.

Mastergeeha B  4-4  Castlemaine United

Castlemaine United picked up their first points of the season away against Mastergeeha B on Sunday morning in a eight goal thriller. Colm Lenihan scored twice for Mastergeeha B with Damien Breen and Ciaran Doolan also getting a goal each. Cathal Moriarty scored twice for Castlemaine United with Wayne Cofffey getting one and Tommy Buckley scoring the equaliser in the 93rd minute.

Ballymac Celtic  3-0  Ballybunion Fc

Ballymac Celtic are in joint second place in the division with a win against Ballybunion Fc on Sunday morning. Brian Hanrahan, Ronan Kerins and Jack O’Shea were the scorers for Ballymac Celtic.

Tralee Bay Fc  1-0  Clanmaurice Fc

Tralee Bay Fc picked up their first win of the season on Sunday against Clanmaurice Fc with Ricky O’Halloran getting the only goal of the game.

Spa Road  5-1  Lisard Wanderers

Spa Road Fc made it five wins from five games on Sunday with a win against Lisard Wanderers. Conor O’Callaghan made it nine goals for the season with a hat trick for Spa Road with Grzegorz Kasperkiewicz getting his first of the season.

Lenamore Rovers  2-4  CS Clochain Breanainn

CS Clochain Breanainn are into second place after they made the long journey to Ballylongford and took all three points. Gene Murphy scored two goals for CS Clochain Breanainn with Sean Connor and Donal Kennedy getting one each.
