FAI Youth Cup 4th Round Last 16

 

Killarney Celtic 3-1 Villa Fc

Killarney Celtic are into the last eight of the FAI Youth Cup after they defeated Villa Fc from Waterford on Saturday at Celtic Park. First half goals from Dylan O’Callaghan and James Darmody had Celtic in control at half time. Five minutes in the second half Villa pulled a goal back but were then reduced to ten men. Jackson O’Mahony made sure of the win when he scored with less than twenty five minutes remaining. Killarney Celtic will host Cork side Park United in the quarter final after they defeated Limerick side Aisling Annacotty 3-2 on Saturday night .

Castleisland Afc 1-0 Killarney Athletic

Castleisland Afc remain top of the table and still undefeated after 8 games after they defeated fifth placed Killarney Athletic at Georgie O’Callaghan Park on Sunday morning. The only goal of the game came just after the hour mark from Tommy Feehan who now has five league goals this season.

MEK Galaxy 2-10 Killarney Celtic

Killarney Celtic had a very impressive win on Sunday against MEK Galaxy at the Dragons Den. In a game that saw four goals in the opening eight minutes Shane Lowth, Wayne Sparling, and Matt Keane all scored two goals each for Celtic with John McDonagh, Stephen McCarthy, Padraig O’Connor and Danny Roche all getting one goal each with this mean to be Danny’s final league game before he heads to Australia. Tadgh Fleming and John Foley where the scorers for MEK Galaxy. This result moves Killarney Celtic further clear in second place and remain unbeaten after seven games while MEK are just one point above the drop zone with the teams below them having games in hand over them.

Camp United 2-4 Killarney Celtic B

League leaders Camp United suffered their first league defeat of the season on Friday night at Mounthawk Park against Killarney Celtic B. This result moved Celtic up to joint third thanks two goals each from Danny Roche and Darragh Lowth .

Killorglin Afc 7-2 QPR

Killorglin Afc made it three league wins in a row and are now in second place in Denny Premier B after they saw off the challenge of bottom side QPR at the Dragons Den on Saturday night. Liam Carey scored twice for Killorglin while Lee Carey, Mike Carey, Stephen Sealy and Dylan O’Sullivan also got on the scoresheet for the home side. Dan O’Sullivan and Paul Cooney got the goals for QPR.

 

 

Denny Division 1A

 

St Brendans Park 4-3 Listowel Celtic B

St Brendans Part picked up the three points on Saturday night at Mounthawk Park against Listowel Celtic B to move back into second place in the promotion race. Mervyn Shalemba, David Oba, Conor O’Callaghan and Adam Ward all got a goal each for the park while Graeme Tarrant, Jack Sheahan and Adam O’Carroll all scored for Listowel Celtic B who remain one point above the relegation zone after this result.
