Munster Junior Cup, Kerry Area Final

 

Tralee Dynamos 0-1 Killarney Athletic

Killarney Athletic will represent Kerry in the Munster Junior Cup after they defeated Tralee Dynamos at Mounthawk Park on Sunday in the Kerry area final. The only goal of the game came from Ian Prendergast after five minutes. Killarney Athletic will be away to Limerick side Aisling Annacotty in two weeks time in the last 32 of the Munster Junior Cup .

 

 

Denny Premier A

 

Classic Fc 0-1 Castleisland Afc

Castleisland Afc moved three points clear of Classic Fc at the top of Denny Premier A on Sunday at Mounthawk Park. The only goal of the game came in the 91st minute when Tommy Feehan scored from the penalty spot for his 3rd goal of the season.

Killarney Celtic 5-0 Listowel Celtic

Killarney Celtic are up to third place with games in hand after  a home win against fourth placed Listowel Celtic on Sunday morning. First half goals from Wayne Sparling, Stephen McCarthy and Lee Downing put the home side into a comfortable position. Matt Keane and Jamie O’Sullivan added to the scoring in the second half.

Killorglin Afc 5-2 Ballyhar Dynamos

Killorglin Afc are up to fourth place and closed the gap on the teams above them with a win over second placed Ballyhar Dynamos of Sunday morning. Ballyhar raced into a two nil lead with goals from Padraig O’Connor after 34 seconds and Mike Daly after 25 minutes. Lee Carey pulled a goal back for Killorglin after 32 minutes which is how it stayed until half time. Five minutes after the restart the game was level when Liam Carey scored and ten minutes later Lee Carey scored his second to put Killorglin in front. Audie Dunlea made it 4-2 before the points were made secure when Liam Carey scored his second. Ballyhar nearly pulled a goal back only for Bryan O’Sullivan in the Killorglin goal saving a penalty.

AC Athletic 0-5 Killarney Celtic B

Killarney Celtic B are up to joint fourth place with a big win against a depleted AC Athletic on Sunday afternoon at Mounthawk Park. Evan Cronin and Chris Keane got two goals each for Killarney Celtic with Oran Donohue getting one.

 

 

Denny Division 1A

 

Atletico Ardfert 6-1 Dingle Bay Rovers

Atletico Ardfert made it back to back league wins on Friday night at Mounthawk Park against Dingle Bay Rovers. David Griffin was the games man of the match scoring four goals while Bobby O’Regan grabbing a brace. Thomas Lynch was the goal scorer for Dingle Bay Rovers.

Castlegregory Celtic 2-0 Asdee Rovers

Castlegregory Celtic continue to set the pace at the top of the division with another home win on Sunday morning. Damien Finn and Alan McNamara got the goals for the home side who are now eleven points clear at the top of the division. Asdee are in fourth place after this result.

Strand Road 1-3 St Brendans Park

St Brendans Park moved into joint second place after a win against Stand Road Fc at Mounthawk Park on Sunday morning. Mervyn Shalemba, Cian Brosnan and Thomas Burke got the goals for St Brendans Park with Jordan Bowler scoring for Strand Road Fc. Strand Road remain bottom of the division but are only four points away from getting out of the relegation zone.

Killorglin Afc B 3-3 CS Clochain Breanainn

Killorglin Afc B and CS Clochain Breanainn couldn’t be separated in Killorglin on Sunday afternoon. This result see’s CS Clochain Breanainn move one point clear at the top of the division while Killorglin remain bottom of the division but only two points away from safety. Keith Curtin, Shane Ahern and Mikey O’Sullivan all scored for Killorglin while Eoghan Lyne scored twice for CSCB with Micheal Dowd getting one.

Killarney Athletic B 0-0 Castlemaine Utd

Probably the surprise result of the weekend saw Killarney Athletic pick up all three points at home against Castlemaine United. Going into this game Killarney Athletic were bottom of the division and Castlemaine were joint top. Laurence O’Donoghue and Ryan Casey scored for Killarney Athletic with Wayne Coffey scoring for Castlemaine.

Inter Kenmare 4-2 Windmill Utd

Inter Kenmare remain in third place with a win against six placed Windmill United at Celtic Park Killarney on Sunday afternoon. Darragh Siochru scored twice for Inter Kenmare with AJ Christian and Gyatso Sangye getting one each. George Carnegie was on target for Windmill United for the second game in a row with Jason McCoy also scoring.

Classic Fc B 1-4 Ballymac Celtic

Ballymac Celtic remain in fourth place but closed the gap on the leaders with the three points against Classic Fc B at Mounthawk on Sunday afternoon. First half goals from Vinny Murphy, Mike Kelliher and Christy Leen put Ballymac in total control. Ballymac’s fourth came early in the second half from Mike Herlihy before David O’Connor pulled one back for Classic B.

Rattoo Rovers B 1-0 Mastergeeha Fc

Third placed Rattoo Rovers B closed the gap on second placed Mastergeeha Fc while also inflicting them with their first defeat of the season. The only goal of the game came in the first half when Rhys Doyle was on target.

Mainebank Fc 2-0 CS Abbeydorney

League Leaders Mainebank Fc extended their lead at the top when they picked up all three points against seventh placed CS Abbeydorney on Sunday. Brendan Delaney  and Eoghan O’Connor were the scorers for Mainebank Fc.

AC Athletic B 7-2 Clanmaurice Utd

Fifth placed AC Athletic B closed the gap on three of the teams above them when they defeated Clanmaurice United on Saturday night at Mounthawk Park. Shane Leahy scored a hat trick for AC Athletic with Luke Fitzgerald getting two while David Egan and Stephen Goggin got one each.

Killorglin Afc C 2-2 Windmill Utd B

The two sides sitting in joint third position Killorglin C and Windmill United B couldn’t be separated on Saturday night at the Dragons Den Killorglin. Aidan O’Sullivan and Brice Dourieu were the scorers for Killorglin Afc C. Killorglin were denied all three points when the normally reliable Kieran O’Shea saw his penalty saved brilliantly by the Windmill Utd keeper.

MEK Galaxy B 3-1 Lenamore Rovers

MEK Galaxy B extend their lead at the top of the division with a win over second placed Lenamore Rovers at Mounthawk Park on Sunday evening. Breandan Savage, Jack Dee and Conor Collins were the goal scorers for MEK Galaxy B while Jake Kelly was once again the scorer for Lenamore.

After an eight goal thriller at Celtic Park on Saturday Killarney Celtic advance to the quarter finals of the Jimmy Falvey Memorial Cup thanks to a penalty shootout win against St Brendans Park Fc. Padraig Looney scored a hat trick for Killarney Celtic with Jackson O’Mahony with Cian Brosnan getting three for St Brendans Park with Dan Fisher getting one.  .

Killorglin Afc 14-1 Listowel Celtic

Killorglin Afc are into the Semi Finals of the Jimmy Falvey Memorial Youth Cup after a big win against Listowel Celtic on Saturday. Gearoid Hassett was the weekends top scorer with seven goals with Ruari Murphy and Dylan Moriarty both scoring a hat trick and Aaron Broderick getting one for the winners  .

Castleisland Afc and Mastergeeha Fc couldn’t be separated at Georgie O’Callaghan Park on Saturday afternoon. Dylan Curtin and Colm Roche were the goal scorers for Castleisland Afc with Philip O’Leary and Thomas Scott scoring for Mastergeeha Fc.
