Munster League Champions Trophy 1/4 Final

Killarney Athletic 3-0  Doolans Cow

Killarney Athletic advanced to the semi final stagee of the Munster League Champions Trophy with a win at home over Cork Business League side Doolans Cow. Jamie Doolan opened the scoring for Athletic just before half time after being set up by Sean Cournane. Early second half goals from Sean Cournane and William Courtney made sure of the victory and Athletic can now look forward to the semi final draw where they could face either Janesboro (Limerick), Shannon Town (Clare) or the winner of the final quarter final which is yet to be played between St Michaels (Tipperary) and Hibernians (Waterford) .


Munster Junior Cup 1st Round

Strand Road 1-3  Dingle Bay Rovers

Premier A side Dingle Bay Rovers are into the second round of the Munster Junior Cup with a win over Division 1A side Strand Road Fc. Bryan Murphy and Shane Houlihan had Dingle two goals up before Jarlath Carney scored a great individual goal. Gareth Hickey Brosnan scored Dingle’s third to make sure of the win and they will now be away to Classic Fc in the 2nd Round.

Listowel Celtic 2-2  Castleisland Afc

Listowel Celtic made it three draws from three games on Sunday morning with a draw against Castleisland Afc who are in third place and also still unbeaten after three games. Ashley Kelliher was once again on target for Listowel Celtic with two goals while Tommy Feehan and Jonathan Downey scored for Castleisland Afc .

Killarney Celtic B 1-2  Killorglin Fc

Killorglin FC got their first win of the season on Saturday night away against Killarney Celtic B who remain pointless after four games. After a scoreless 1st half Audie Dunlea opened the scoring getting on the end of a Paddy Collins free kick. Within ten minutes the game was level when Stephen McCarthy scored for Killarney Celtic. With time running out Killorglin struck for the winner when Pa Knightly crossed to Sean Costello to score.

Camp United 3-1  Mitchels Avenue

Camp United picked up their first win of the season against newly promoted Mitchels Avenue on Sunday morning. Gearoid O’Shea, David Smith and Robbie O’Brien all scored for Camp United with Graham O’Leary scoring from a trade mark free kick for Mitchels Avenue.

Tralee Celtic 4-1 Castleisland B

Tralee Celtic made it four wins from four games on Sunday with a win over last seasons Premier B champions Castleisland B . Wayne Duggan, John Farragher, Greg Horan and Fergal Moynihan all got on the score sheet for Tralee Celtic with Danny Feehan scoring for Castleisland B .

Ballyheigue Athletic 6-0  Sporting Listowel

Ballyheigue Athletic moved up to joint second place after a big win over Sporting Listowel on Sunday morning. Pa McElligott, Kieran O’Connor, Frankie Flaherty, Darren Burns , Dylan Burns and Jack Smith all scored a goal each for Ballyheigue Athletic .

Mastergeeha B 2-2  St BrendansPark Fc

Mastergeeha B and St Brendans Park couldnt be seperated on Sunday morning in Kilbrean Park which keeps Mastergeeha in fourth place and St Brendans Park in third. Colm and Sean Lenihan were the goal scorers for Mastergeeha with Donagh O’Brien and Mikey Andrews scoring for St Brendans Park.

Listowel Celtic B 1-0  Castlemaine United

A young Listowel Celtic B side picked up their first win of the season at home against Castlemaine United on Sunday thanks to a Jack Sheehan goal on the stroke of half time. Both sides missed a penalty each with Castlemaine keeper Dara O’Connor saving the Listowel penalty.

Castlegregory Celtic 3-3  Windmill United

Castlegregory Celtic remain top of the division and unbeaten after a draw against Windmill United playing their opening league fixture. Brandon Hoare, Damien McMahon and Maurice Slattery scored for Castlegregory with Gary Savage getting two for Windmill United while Tommy Lynch also got a goal.

Tralee Bay Fc 2-5  Ballymac Celtic

Ballymac Celtic are joint third in the table after they picked up their first win against Tralee Bay Fc who were playing their opening game of the season. The game was tied at 2-2 until Ballymac struck for 3 goals in the final 8 minutes against Tralee Bay who had been reduced to ten men . Iasmin Gheorge and Paudie O’Connor both scored two goals each for Ballymac Celtic with Raphael Nana getting one. Darren Young and Mariusz Pokojski got one each for Tralee By FC .

Ballybunion Fc 2-4  Killorglin B

Killorglin B team started their season off with a win away against Ballybunion Fc on Sunday afternoon. Killorglin opened the scoring just a matter of seconds after the game had started through Mikey O’Sullivan who managed to score two on the day with Glenn O’Sullivan and Ryan Riordan also scoring for Killorglin Fc. John Langham and Gavin Casey scored for Ballybunion Fc .

Mitchels Avenue B 2-6  Classic Fc B

Classic Fc B made it four wins from four games with a win against Mitchels Avenue B on Sunday afternoon. Mike Duggan opened the scoring for Classic Fc but two quick goals from Anthony O’Connor and Nathan O’Leary had Mitchels ahead. Cian O’Biren leveled the game before Mike Duggan scored his second just before half time. In the second half Cian O’Brien scored his second before goals from Tommy Naughton and David Leonard secured the win for Classic Fc .

Lenamore Rovers 0-4  Mainebank Fc

Mainebank Fc are into joint second place with a win away against Lenamore Rovers thanks to a hat trick from James Long and one from Luke Flynn .

Lisard Wanderers 0-7  CS Clochain Brennainn

CS Clochainn Breannainn are also into second position with a big win over Lisard Wanderers. Gene Murphy bagged a hat trick with Adamh O’Domhnaill, Padraig Murphy , Kevin Russell and Timothy Moriarty all getting a goal each.


FAI New Balanace U17 Cup 1st Round

Killarney Celtic 9-0  Shannon Town

Killarney Celtic cruised into the second round of the FAI U17 Cup with a big win over Shannon Town from Clare. Dylan Callaghan scored a hat trick with Evan Lyne , Terry Sparling and Ryan Kelliher all getting two goals each. Killarney Celtic will host Asdee Rovers in the 2nd round in the coming weeks.

Asdee Rovers 2-9  Rattoo Rovers

Rattoo Rovers got their season off to a winning start away to Asdee Rovers on Saturday. Cian McGrath scored a hat trick for Rattoo Rovers with Barry O’Neill, Kevin Goulding, Bernard O’Callaghan, James Donegan, JP O’Carroll and Nathan McGrath getting a goal each. Conor Carmody scored both goals for Asdee Rovers .

Ballyheigue Athletic 2-2  Listowel Celtic

Ballyheigue Athletic and Listowel Celtic started their season off with a point each on Saturday . Sean Sheehan and Nathan O’Driscoll were the Ballyheigue Athletic goal scorers.

Mastergeeha Fc 1-7  St Brendans Park Fc

St Brendans Park made it two wins from their opening two league games with a win away against Mastergeeha. Jordan Barry and David Oba scored two goals each for the Park with JR Tshikato and Mervyn Shalemba getting one goal each.

Killarney Athletic 4-2  Tralee Dynamos

Killarney Athletic remain unbeaten after two games with a home win against Tralee Dynamos on Saturday . Liam Kelliher scored a hat trick for Killarney Athletic with Tadgh Dolan getting one.
