SSE Airtricity U17 Shield 1st Round

Sunday 01st October 2017

Kerry DL  1-5  Limerick Fc

Kerrys involment in the 2017 SSE Airtricity U 17 season ended on Sunday at home against Limerick Fc. Missing a few players Kerry went behind from the penalty spot before Martin Coughlan scored a fantastic free kick from the edge of the box. At Half time Kery lost keeper Alex O’Connor to an injury and since Robert Osborne was unable to play due to concussion fullback John Ward went between the posts in the second half. Sadly the result didnt go the way we all hoped as Limerick moved on to the quarter final stage.
A huge thanks must be given to Manager Darren Aherne and his Management team /Coaches Tim Collins, Tony O’Neill, Graham O’Neill, Chris Hegarty and John Kearly for their hard work through out the season. Their are so many more to thank so without mentioning any names I would just like to say well done and thank you to everyone involved especially the parents , supporters, volunteers and KDL committee members for their hard work through out the year . But most of all a huge thank you to the players who have given their all this year representing their County every week since last February .
